D'oh! Just logged in to write what Jason wrote. I used Ditra under a mosaic carrara marble basketweave and contacted Schluter directly and they said the same - lay Ditra, skimcoat top of Ditra with thinset and let dry for 24 hours, then tile. Mine has worked out well so far.
