it is crystal clear once dry (at least the clear is), which I like. It is also a much better "glue". I have put it around escutcheons and it holds them well and you cannot even see it.

I have used lexel for escutcheon plates. I like it because it is so clear. I ha e had to remove the plates and then use silicone as it was handy. I had no issues. But I did scrape it.
