efflorescence questions

Ok, we probably used too much water in our clean up, combined with really hard water...and we've definitely got efflorescence. I have tried scrubbing it our with a grout brush and straight vinegar...

Yeah, well the jury's still out on that one, but we think it was carpet, or at least it was at some point in time...the wax rings had failed under both toilets at some point and no one had bothered...

Ok, I finally found the manufacturer online, and instructions for install...but it still doesn't answer my question about how soon after setting cbu to start working on tile...anyone have any advice...
