Starting grout tomorrow…Top or bottom??

Maybe a silly question but…..starting grout tomorrow and curious if better to start at top of wall or bottom? Floor is already grouted.

Mike, welcome........... as far as your photos being oriented correctly, just take the pictures with your phone turned sideways. Then just upload them directly using the manage attachments button...

Mapei LFT thickness

Mfg specs indicate 3/4” (wide?) mortar thickness is ok. (3/8” high?). I understand specs do not show 3/4” high but can these numbers be flipped if mortar stays within these specs (ie…9/16 wide, 3/4”...

Decision made….Question on Fat Mud vs Thinset

Thanks CX. Confirms what I was thinking!!

Doing it this way will leave non factory edges in the field but I think that’s preferable to non factory edges at the trim.

Dilema with tile at ceiling

So I’m finishing up top 2 rows of back shower wall today. As has been mentioned numerous times on this forum, ceiling is not even. Not bad, but not even. It is aprox 1/8” higher at the far right...
