It's not tile. They're irregularly shaped stone blocks about 4 inches thick. I think they'd support a car--never mind a TV as long as I get the anchors in correctly.

Handling gap between counter top & backsplash.

When the new counter was installed they left a 7/16 gap between the back edge of the new counter and the drywall.
