I did those too John. They were at the walk in part of the shower. Maybe the pic above is deceiving but it looks like the "speed bump" is in the middle of the shower, not at the entrance.

How does the water on the other side of the bump get to the drain? I was always taught to place wall tile on top of the floor tile. That way you don't have this grout joint that catches water.

He didn't show the right side fold being completed. No shot directly from the outside looking in. If the liner is long to the outside when you make that cut you will have that funnel to the outside...

Exactly. I cant tell you how many showers I've torn out due to someone nailing cement board over a liner on a curb.
It happens way more than you think.
