So your shower floor is installed I believe I read. I always do the curbtop whether tile or solid piece and bring the tile down over it on the wall, just looks cleaner. You can do it the other way...

Yes when you do a tub surround this can always be an issue. My first choice would always be to run the baseboard whatever that may be, wood or tile and bring the bullnose tile down...
