Think of sealer as when your mom used to put floor wax on the linoleum kitchen floor. It might look nice and do the job for awhile, but it won't last.

I used Aquamix in my shower to make the grout whiter, since I couldn't find a true white grout. It worked fine, but prepare for a lot of work doing it.
