The tile for the rest of the house was all completed at the same time and it hasn't had any issues yet. I'm hoping this was a fluke of sorts. Plywood should be fine based on the rest of the house...

I wasn't able to go all the way through the crawlspace to the problem area but I did measure a joist right at the entrance.

It was 2x10x14 -

Unknown wood, good condition = Result: L / 290

12x12.....The kitchen window is the only source of sunlight..but it's only direct sunlight for a small time frame.


The entire kitchen is pretty small..approximately 100 sq ft of tile.
