If you do liquid right(2 coats 20-30 mils) it may built up more then many of the sheets.

Sheets are uniform...

I would get specifics including whos and what thin set..then/and or contact the manufacture of the thinset you plan on using and let them advise since their doing the bonding!

Without reading their directions, I would seal the bottom of the board as well with same sealant.

GoBoard is vey different then Kerdi Board(I like it more) I would find the recommended fasteners....

what size base are you looking at? how thick is the base at the drain? I looks be be approx. 3/8" at drain.. Seems like it would be closer to 1.25" at perimeter to meet code.The detail shows 1/4" cbu...

is this membrane even listed (approved) for use as a shower liner with the Uniform Plumbing Code? The Drain? There should be a UPC
acceptance printed on it and I dont see it.

If the water vapor transmission rate is too high...

If the water vapor transmission rate is too high you may find that a liquid applied membrane will not properly bond to the substrate. Kind of like trying to paint a wet wall it just doesn’t stick.
