I liked the leveling system, I too had issues with too much thinset in the joints. Which led to a chipped tile or two getting the plastic spacers below the tile surface. Live and learn!

Some more updates. The drain was set about 4-5 days after I put in the mud floor. I just Kerdi’d the floor last night. I have 1 more piece of ditra and a few pieces of kerdi band left to install.
