A pretty good glass blade is the Alpha Vetro. It's usually under $100 and cuts pretty clean. I don't think it's probably the best on the market but it's a top-notch blade and isn't as expensive as...

This is a pretty good scenario for drilling into the curb. Like Jim mentioned above, this could compromise the waterproofing on other showers but it's pretty tough to do that with a foam curb. I use...

I hope you do well, Brad! Plumbers can make some money. The guy that I used to use ended up just doing service work before he retired. He'd drive around in his van and do 2-3 calls per day and make a...

I haven't been on here lately so I'm just trying to get caught up. I agree with what's been said about the Better Bench. Definitely have backing in the wall for it and I would Kerdi over the top even...

Interesting. I think ValueSeal is the best that I've tried. The rigidity is a plus in that it creases well. Feels thinner than Kerdi and seams thinner also. Not anything like TS either, in my book.

I think you're better off with the wet saw as you won't find a cutter at at big box store that's worth buying.

Montolit and Sigma are the two best cutters. Some of the Rubi's are good. I wouldn't...

I blame that more on the design than anything. Yes, he could have trimmed the 1/4 round beak a bit to conform but mostly that's on whoever was making design decisions.

I think a little bit of that is normal for a worn in saw but I wouldn't want that on my brand new one.

I'm kind of wondering if the newer Dewalts are as good as the older ones.

A lot of manufacturers make ramps for their showers but I've never put one in before. You might look into the Wedi Ligno system. It's a curbless foam shower pan system. Schluter probably has a...

So the drain part on this Kerdi shower is 60 inches? If so, I think that would work fine. I noticed that you had it drawn to end before the bench but you could do a floating bench also.

If you get...

Personally, I think the 1/2 inch square notch would be too messy. You're probably best doing either of the methods that you talked about: notching and letting it dry or using the 1/8 inch Kerdi board.
