Not a fan of that 4'X15" section in the subfloor layout, Dan. I'd opt to shorten the 8' sheet and have that 15" stretch over to the next joist.

Not sure what to tell you about the mud bed, Dan, only that I wouldn't want to bury the drain line in the mud unless the PVC was supported on the plywood under it every 6 inches and the mud on top...
