What about the silicon? is it better to use white silicon on the edges of a white tub or jacuzzi no matter the color of the wall?

well, i'm talking about a 14"x 5" rectangular piece, so not all that much surface area. Maybe i just pulled the shim a little too hard in the wrong direction.

The gap or grout joint between all tiles is a consistent 1/16" and if i understand you correctly, there is a fairly consistent 1/16 to 3/32 factory edge along the mitered edges.

most of the tiles bow at 3/32" at the center. I have 22 boxes with 3 tiles in each sitting on a pallet in the garage. Of the three boxes i opened, most have a bow of about 3/32" +-.

A 1/2" trowel is recommended for 6x36 tile - can i use a 1/4" trowel to minimize the finished tile height if tiles are fairly flat and can get 95% coverage?

This is for a curbless shower....

Original toilet sat on typical starter home 4" ? white ceramic tiles that sat on sub floor that was flush with floor trusses in the water closet.

I left the original toilet...
