I think most of the leveling systems on the market won't work for what you want to do and it's the thickness of the material that is the issue.

I'm measuring one of the MLT straps and I think...

That's the old mastic from back when they could put the good chemicals in it.

You just need to scrape down what you can of it. It's likely you'll scrape the mastic right off and get down to the...

Steve, what Mapei grout did you use? Was it just the standard unsanded... Kera something, I believe?

Normally, the cracks with unsanded grout show up right away. I'm not sure why these are taking...

If you want to center on the window the only adjustment that I would make is to put a half tile on the right side wall. So it would be half-full-half on that wall. That way the corner looks like it's...

BWF, RodKat, and RSS will all work for you. There seems to be a market for custom pans with a quick turnaround and these companies are filling that niche.

RSS works with other brands. Cornell...

I agree with Kurt on installing the wall board above the flange and Kerdi over. It used to be in Kohler's instructions to install above the flange but it looks like they've changed it.

Yep. That matters. Definitly 1 then. #1 will hit the bottom of the big window and the top of the bench?

What would happen if you shifted that whole layout to the right?

I'm thinking the tile in...

Right now, that greenboard, the way it is, probably isn't going to work for whatever you want to do.

How about this- Can...

From there, you will have to play around with the...

So, total height is 1 3/16th and your tile is, I'm assuming, a true 3/8. So you basically need to make up 13/16th + tile.

I think the way that you get there is 1/2 inch plywood underlayment and...

I'm not sure why you'd be 1.5 inches too low? If it was mounted on top of the 3/4 inch subfloor then you would only be .5 inch underlayment + .375 (+/-) tile correct?

Either way, look into these...
