why are cement board screws so darn expenisve
compared to others
just done a job with steel studs and the wafer heads where
$5. a 100
and cement backer screws are $40 + for 600 up here in...

well client is so unhappy with it, that this year(summer sry spell) where going to use a high gloss concrete sealer / fila-wet to seal and see how that holds up

its black slate laid onto of std dirta which in turn is on a 2" slab of concrete

other main issue is possible...

was never going to work with cement/sand mortar mix
it would work with cultured stone (as it has a textured scratch back)
is there even a starting flashing at the bottom course

it only gives a rip of 900mm
and at first it was ok but its now cutting off by over 1/8 to 1/4 with
what ever blade i put in it so it sitting....

and had a call back to try sort out the issue with it.

it looks like the water/minerals has been causing the stone to break down and
appear really faded and...

but you can see just how clean the tiles are

went over to the job to nite and seams the thinset is bonded to the floor or at least to the SLC...
