I would insist on epoxy if installing black. I have never had issues with Ultracolor, but the potential for issues with ANY black cementitious grout just isn't worth it in my opinion.

I wouldn't be anxious to tile over tile, but a use that I can see is applying it to the backs of resin-backed stone to achieve a better bond.
