You use Penetrol with primer? The S/W and BenjiMoore fellows said that is an "old guys" trick that is not recommended at all with good primers, but good with finish coat though.

My P-C 18 ga. shoots 3/4" through 2" just fine, but yeah, you make a bunch of little holes. Really pissed off the painter (my wife.) Rather have fewer large holes....
