Opinion for grout color for brick wall

I'm almost done with my brick wall, I still have to do the caps, but the color of the grout I'm not too sure about. I wanted a dark grey, and after applying the coloring to the mortor and testing it...

Should I use high strength mortar for brick veneer?

Talking Do I smooth tile edges after cutting them?

I have finished tiling my shower, however I did cut the tile (4.25") using my wetsaw in many places (edges and around the niche). Obviously the cut edges look a little different (slightly squared)...
