Cutting mosaic tile

My contractor is having a heck of a time cutting these tiles. After failing with his wet saw he's just using a grinder and cursing a lot. Any thoughts that make might his job easier?

Should an entire floor (it's an 11' by 8' area) be grouted at once? The reason I ask is that my contractor is talking about grouting one area, then coming back a few days later to grout another...

Thanks Davy. That sounds reasonable. Since I'll be applying the impregnator before the tiles are even installed, applying a light coat to the top of each individual tile shouldn't be too difficult....
