OK, here's how it looks so far

I had to leave the toilet on it's 1" throne of concrete. I am almost through with the tiling. There's no question that the grout line around the toilet is going to be larger than the other 1/8"...

Here's another photo where I crudely drew a red line which is the bottom of the "ridge" the toilet sits on. It's about an inch high and goes all the way around the toilet fairly uniformly.

Our back splash field tiles are 4x4 with 3/16 grout lines. A one inch mosaic border runs across the middle of the field tile (1x1 tiles 2 inches high) and their grout joints are only 1/16...
