Pre Pitch Mud is down...a few concerns...

I have a whole new respect for you guys that do this for a living...man I'm tired...

Anyway, the pre pitch bed is down on the lath/felt/sticks...seems to be curing ok but the surface of the bed...

I'm curious also...If the pre pitch is done well...and the liner will therefore drain the water that permeates down to it...then wouldn't this allow...

Paper is down...but mix is in question...

The lath wasnt stapled....and I wasnt real thrilled with a mushrooming effect the large heads on the backer on screws was having on the surfaces of the prepitch sticks...So, I pulled it all...

Yes..It's the preslope bed

Sorry..shoulda mentioned that...the pre pitch sticks are screwed down thru the lath with some xtra Backer-On screws I had...I was mainly concerned about the Hardie wicking the moisture out the mud...

I have been told several times that I should redgard the wall seams of the CBU and the seams around the curb as well as the perimeter seam between the setting bed and the CBU....you disagree with ANY...

I am using Laticrete Roll on liquid membrane on all the seams and the curb and all around the window...wasnt planning on doing the floor since I'll have the liner...or did you mean a liquis membrane...

Thanks Bob...I had seen the problem with the shorter pre pitch sticks solved by shimming them up with mud until level with the long outside ones...was gonna do that ...any suggestion on another...

Scott...I do love that sharkbite stuff...used some for the 3/4 to 1/2 reduction ball valves leading to this bathroom..its hard to trust but it aint leaked a drop...a little too expensive...

I was quoted $500 to do a 64"x 40" mudbed with a curb...yet the the shluter 72"x72" shluter tray and curb can be had for less than $300.
