Thanks CX, I agree that will probably be the easiest way to go. It will also be easier to source a higher grade square edge plywood I think.

Thanks for the advice Jadnashua I will look for a high grade tongue and groove subfloor specific plywood and lay it out perpendicular to the joists....

I have successfully sistered the floor joists and after blocking the outside edges I will be ready to lay my subfloor. I am wondering what the correct orientation of 4x8 sheets would be....
