I guess what we're trying to say is we expected...

I guess what we're trying to say is we expected the sealer to create more of a "barrier" on the grout, i.e. as polyeurathane is to a wood floor . Is there a product that will do this???

OK, the tile guy came by yesterday and looked at our flooring since we are on a pier & beam foundation and our house in over 100 yrs old. He recommend we go with 1/2" backerboard instead of the 1/4"...
