Depending on tile dimensional consistency you could also consider 3/32” spacers. That’s my go-to size whenever it works. Tavy spacers have 3/32.

Hard to believe they make 2 inch pin nails. Even the inch long ones I’ve used will follow the grain and bend outside of corners even a few times through into a finger. Ouch.
