I have not yet caulked around the terlet or the pedestal. Though I did set a bead of plumbers putty under each so that if there is a teeny tiny bit of movement when some one "takes a seat"...

That's what I was thinking if that does turn out to be 1/4" Luan garbage. I'll probably yank that and put down 3/8 Ext Ply over the 3/4 ply sub, then go with Ditra.
