Ken, before crucifying the installer, consider the fact that even with specified grout you may have the same issue. Brite white is always going to have issues. No grout is guaranteed stain proof....

Lauren, while vinegar may be ok to clean your grout, it's definitely not ok to clean or get on your stone. It's highly acidic. Buy a stone specific cleaner. Any penetrating sealer will help with...

A little confusion in the fact all the grout release I see states natural stone, etc, and some ( DuPont) specificly state not for ceramic??? Nothing that states specifically for ceramic.

Perfect. You got it. Aqua Mix Gold available from Home depot is my choice. No promo, just what i use, and easily available. Water based, easy to us. Any similar sealer will be fine.
