Either a sliver of tile, or trim. Pencil trim, ogee trim or chair rails. Or you can rip down some quartz or granite to match your benchtop and have an accent/feature in place of the slivers.

Bend lath over your liner with the on the bottom of the outside face of the curb.
Either way will work. If you can bend a piece to make the lath continuous it’s preferable:)
