Wouldn't the liability fall back on the GC? I highly doubt the homeowners will go after the installer when the GC is the boss and manager of the job.

Jim, 4 days the thin set is still soft especially outside. I could probably pull up any tile including Saltillo without breaking them, But I do live in florida where it is quite humid. :)

That is most likely a concrete floated wall, that was the old school way of building showers a few years back. It's a very well constructed shower that can last 50 plus years.

I think it boils down to the thickness of the floor mud. I have seen many showers that are 20 to 30 years old with no pre pitch that don't have any spotting like that and then I have seen 1 year old...

Is there a vapor bearer behind the cbu and was the seat made out of cinder blocks? If yes on both you'll be fine, that is what we call a traditional shower and can and will last 30 plus years.

We use epoxy to set tile on fiberglass pools, silicone isn't a tile adhesive or grout. Do have pictures of the pool before the tile was installed?

Are you guys just skim coating the backs or using epoxy through out? With an 1/2 inch trowel that would be about 20sq.ft. per bucket of epoxy at nearly $150.
