Unless those tiles are awfully consistent in size, a 16th inch joint would not be recommended. 1/8" would be the minimum. Your floor needs to be exceedingly flat....no more than 1/8" over ten feet...

I addressed this back in 2000, but so many folks didn't "get it." They thought that Jan 1 of 2020 was a new millennium. Sorry, it wasn't. It was Jan 1 of 2001.
