Long shot but you might want to have them check your uric acid levels. It could be gout/arthritis. Unfortunately I know first hand where I have had it in my knee as well as feet.

Did you check the female opening for the shower head? Is it possible that you slightly bumped/turned the valve and you have a trickle leak slowly working its way down the joints to the floor?...

For 25 years now I have used the same free method of marking a toilet flange cut. I'd mark the center x... put the 5" on the x and mark 1 and a 1/4 and 8 3/4... spin the tape and do this 5-6 more...

You are correct Gueuze... in that ripping it out so soon after install, there was no major water problems. The wood in the curb was wet and there is a decent size area where the plywood's top layer...

Curb-less shower with no waterproofing... no pitch... CB screwed to plywood, no thin-set. Heat-mat ran into shower...

here is one I just did... they recessed the shower controls because their glass door is designed to swing into the shower and they didn't want it to hit the valves. they also wanted a shaver shelf...
