I get the concept along the straight runs of changes of plane. Leave a gap between backer boards, tuck some excess topical sheet membrane into the gap.

333 tds doesn’t list 254 as an approved mixing powder.

Even if it was sanctioned, there’s no way I’d want to work with anything...
