Same shower without the LED backlights on, looks quite different. Individual 4" fish scale tiles. 8hrs to run 35 sq ft floor, the walls and ceiling are going to be even slower.

I realize putting Kerdi over a pan lined with Kerdi is redundant but it's a simple step. I do this regularly, other than time there isn't a reason to not do it.

Looks like you are still running band, be sure to use inside and outside corners around and in your niche.

I'll pile on here and say if this is a first run I would not. Keeping good coverage and adjusting mud consistency as the depth changes takes some experience and so does keeping good coverage...
