New kitchen backsplash grout stained
2 Attachment(s)
I installed my kitchen backsplash few weeks ago. Sometime after that two stains appeared above the stove. I think they are oil stains but I am not 100% positive. I've used bleach, oxiclean, grout cleaner, baking soda, and even a powerful steam machine and nothing will work.

I forgot to use a grout sealer so I know I messed up that part, can't turn back now. Any ideas what kind of stain that is and what I can do? Thanks

I used Mapei Ultracolor FA Plus.

If you like the dark shade, you could try an enhancer type sealer if the grout is unsealed. My main fear is that the enhancer might soak into the cracks in the tile and highlight them. For that reason I'd experiment on a few left over tiles first.

Welcome to the forum, Joe.

Why not grind out that little bit of grout and re-grout it?
