Smoothing rough edge on glass tile
Hey everyone...I have some slightly rough edges on some glass tile that I cut..I was reading that you can smooth these out by using emery sticks...I found a sight online...but don't know what "grit" I need to use.....can anyone give me some advice?
These are glass mosaic tile Thanks Melissa |
You can use regular sandpaper too. I would start with a relatively high grit, like 220 or 320.
Are you trying to polish the edge, or just clean it up? |
I'm just trying to clean it up.....I kind of tiled a small wall in my dressing room...and I didn't use the plastic edging....at first I figured grout or caulk would "hide" the rough edges....but I think it'd just be a lot better if I just smoothed them out..lol

You need to get some silicone carbide sand paper. I have a Mikata 5" disc sander I use with a stick on pad, works great! You can also use a belt sander. You could also use a diamond hand pad like the one shown in the link.

Try the belt sander
We have used the belt sander with good luck before.
