Also finished up the steam shower bathroom with kerdi-board. Finished it up with SpectraLOCK pro premium.
|
Roger, how did you like the Premium on the walls?
|
It definitely sags a lot less. It did seem to get 'gummy' as it was getting toward the end of about 60 minutes or so as opposed to just a bit more difficult to work with like regular spectralock pro.
Don't know if it was my batch, me, the heat or what. I'll definitely try it again but if that is normal I'll probably go back to the regular. I did it on the ceiling first, though, and it worked really well. Did that right after I mixed it so the non-sag properties are definitely an improvement. |

Staging the job I'm starting this week. This is *part* of the order. 1560 ft2 of Semi-gloss 4-by-4. The rest arrives later this week. My first commercial project since arriving in Washington state, back in 2006. Let's see if I remember all of my tricks?

Looking good everyone. Shaughn, looks like you will have a sweet stash of grout buckets after that job is over.
Great shower Roger, very nice. |
Shaughnn- I suggest you scarify the vct before bonding the glazed ceramic wall tile with mastic to the floor.
Oh that is just the staging area, not the job site. :D Have fun:tup2: Roger- looks good. I really like the look of the rectangular tile on the tub deck and niche wall in the shower. What is the name of it? |
Nice Roger :tup2:
Shaughn you work alone no? That is gonna be a killer solo. Nice job though. |
Very nice , Roger.:tup2:
. . . Shaughnn, That tile should fly in no time . |
It has been a while since I put 4's on a wall. I like to stack 3 or 4 in one hand and keep moving. I could go pretty fastback then. Anyone else stack them in in your hand or just put one by one up.
|
Roger - nice job on the shower and tub.
Doug - I used to run 4x4 the same way. |

Today the glass door went in on the glass steamer in Lake Charles. We start the white glass full bath for the same customer in October.
|
Very nice, Paul. Thought you were through in Lake Charles???
|
Those bleeping glass installers took forever (5 weeks) to get the door ordered and installed. I installed the glass shelf in the niche my own darn self.
|
looks nice but man that floor looks slippery :crap:
