Grout sealer stained my grout
 

Hey guys.

So I have black grout modified sanded grout 600. Shower floor.

I went to seal it with aqua mix sealers gold choice. I went to check on it the next day to do another coat and there is white haze looking stuff all over my grout. When I wet it , it turns black again.

What is this and how do I get rid of this haze?

Please tell us how you applied the sealer. After applying it and waiting 5 to 7 minutes, did you polish it dry? Or did you allow it to dry on its own?

I wiped it dry after 5mins

The picture isn’t quite so clear to me. Are the grout joints completely filled with grout and flush with the tile, or are they recessed? I ask because I’m wondering if you also polished the excess sealer away from possibly deep grout joints. If excess sealer is allowed to dry, it typically leaves a white foggy haze.
