10" Marble Tile Blade
Looking for a 10" Soft Marble blade recommendation. I have a job coming up with a white and gray Spanish marble 3/4" thick. Played around with some pieces today and the only blade that would give me chip free cutting was my Alpha Glass Blade. I started looking around for a good soft marble blade and in the 10" category there were none. Jump to a 12" or 14" bade and there are many to choose from. I have not seen a marble chip like this in quite awhile. Almost like cutting Honey Onyx but not as bad. There is going to be many miter cuts on the 12 x 24's. Hoping I don't have to go out and purchase a Ramondi Zipper Bridge saw for this.(12"or 14" blade class with many blade options available) Of course I would love a new saw.

Dave,
I was going to recommend a glass blade. We use the monolit with great success. You should see what a great job it does with 3x6 subways. No edge treatment needed. |
Alpha Libero but not sure it is available as a 10"

I's also suggest you get a dry diamond polishing pad for your grinder. I use a 50 or 80 grit and it does a lot of shaping in a hurry on the marble. The stoner supply houses have a huge selection.

Thanks for the replies. Even my Libero was chipping it. Don't know why it doesn't come in a 10" version. I have many sets of dry polishing pads. They are what is going to save me some serious time making this stuff look good.
