Enhancer Turned Remodel YELLOW - HELP!!
2 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone!
I used custom building products enhancer on my stone pebble shower floor and on my rock accent wall in my bathroom. To my horror, it turned everything yellow! The stone, the grout, and the caulk. The manufacturer said to use paint stripper, which didn’t work after 4-5 applications. Any recommendations? I’m so disappointed I’m tempted to bite the bullet and start all over again by demo-ing :/ Lastly- If I can get it restored- any recommendation on what enhancer to use that won’t Amber over time? I really want the look and contrast but I’m now afraid to use it ever again... Thanks! |
Welcome to the forum, Rob.
Was the sealer within date? Did it immediately turn the stone yellow...or over the course of some time? What stripper did you use and how did you apply it? :) |
Sorry to hear about this problem. It's a good idea to seal a scrap or left over piece first before sealing your walls and floor. It usually mentions this on the label. As you see, it's nearly impossible to undo it now, especially an enhancer.
