Purus drains

Came across these on line, and the installation instructions look like they will work with Kerdi--either the trench drain or the corner. Anyone have any experience with them?

Interested because I've been thinking about trench drain at end of shower and Kerdi flange is kind of big to fit close to wall/corner.

Kerdi isn't designed to be crimped between the ring like that, although it might work if you used something like Kerdi-Fix on it prior to clamping. Because of the different height, there'd be a little lip there so that the grid would sit flush with the tile which wouldn't be the greatest (i.e., it would have to be recessed unlike the kerdi drain where things are flush with the tiling surface). It isn't clear to me if that well is also a trap. If it is a trap, it is functioning like a drum trap which I don't think is legal in the US. Putting a second trap in series to get a standard p-trap often causes drainage problems. If that well is something like just a hair trap, and not a gas seal, it might be okay.
