My humble addition to this thread. New tops, new splash. I've always liked tumbled.
Well that pic is turned. But you get the idea. |
Tumbled stone can look cool in the right applications. What did you use as a starting point/centerline etc in your layout?
|
The focal behind the cooktop is centered on the cooktop. It's a bit off center on the microwave but the cabinets weren't moving so it be what it be. The stone starts full half at the inside corner between the windows.

Welcome back, Dan. This mean the rumors of your death were exaggerated? :)

Greatly my old friend. :yeah:
In fact I'm doin my own thing these days. https://mayflowertile.com/ How you been? |
I suppose I'm doing about as well as can be expected at this stage of life. Still above ground and don't hafta go to work, so things could be a lot worse, I suppose.
Congratulations on being out there on your own. Don't think we ever expected anything less. Hope it's a long and satisfying career for you. |
That’s bit***n’ Dan!! Nice execution and design man!

It's more like 'TileSavvyVeteranDan' by now.
Nice website Dan! I just gave your business page a "like" on FB. :) |

Nice work Dan, love behind the stove and all those colors.
But one question, what is this black stamp thing on the corner of the cabinet? Attachment 215049 |
Thanks Jim! I really appreciate it. Let me know if you've got a page and I'll reciprocate.
And Brian, I have no idea lol. It was a date sticker of some sort. Mayhaps an appointment reminder. And the one and only CX! Vertical and sucking wind is doing pretty good in my book. Especially in the hellscape that is 2020. |

I admire your patience Jerry, certainly takes a special person to run mosaics on that scale. We prefer the big stuff. We have a 1 done and the other MB is almost complete.
|
Thanks Jeff. The admiration is mutual. If I see a swirly mark on one my tiles it's a 5 minute replacement. I read your thread on replacing the 2x4 sheet.... ugggghhh. I couldn't imagine. I would have put an old Farrah Fawcett poster over it and moved on. :)
What you do requires the same patience and probably more precision. Some top notch work. |
