cut everything back to the main that goes to the septic http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...r/100_1527.jpg everything was paper thin the shower p trap had been leaking for quite some time so the cast has been in continually wet dirt for awhile i broke off the p trap with a simple twist of the wrist joined to abs with a big rubber coupling

Brian, I had a feeling some-one would mention that.
It's a bit wetter than I normally would like, ( new helper ) but it actually isn't that wet.
I had just used a sponge to clean off the top of the drain.
