Shower Floor/Wall Joints
OK all the tile is now installed. It was actually fun with my new Felker TM 75. No problem right out of the box except I don't like the little rubber flap at the back as it deflects water down onto the floor, but no big deal it's a great tool. Should of bought it years ago. I digress. Onto the question.
The floor wall joint. Should this be caulk. If yes what type for a shower floor. If not can I just grout it. Grout type . Any specific recommendations for shower ? Also any recommmendations on sealer type.Lastly. I now need a custom bi-fold shower door. Does anyone know where I can order one or pick one up in the Houston area ? Thanks in advance Kevin |
You caulk the wall-to-floor and wall-to-wall joints with silicone or siliconized acrylic caulks. You can find color matched caulk at your grout supplier.
Modified grout, sanded for groutlines 1/8" and wider, unsanded for 1/8" or smaller. Sealer: stay away from Tile-Lab. I dunno on the door. |
Thank you again.
