Sheen difference within shades of porcelain tile

Good afternoon. I work Support for a distributor and am trying to see if anyone's been running into the issue shown in these pictures recently. All the same lot and only really visible with direct lighting coming across the surface of the tiles. I'm just looking for any explanation, if anyone's experienced this. We're getting the manufacturer to come look at it, also. Thank you in advance.

Welcome, KJ. :)

It'd help if you'd identify the tiles. Brand name, make and model.

Thank you. The material is from Halcón Cerámicas - product line is High Sierra 9x48 Rectified Porcelain. Thank you.

Only High Sierra I can find on their site is roughly 9"x36" when translated.

I don't find anything on the porcelain tile page of their site that would convert to a 9"x48" tile. Perhaps someone else can.

And I'm not able to translate any of their technical documentation sufficiently to determine whether what you see is/is not withing acceptable limits.

Understood, we're contacting the factory rep for some info. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Thank you. :)

I know you said the tiles are all from the same lot, but it looks to me that they are not the same shade. There are usually two factors listed on the packaging: shade number and calibration. It's important to check those numbers.

John, thank you for your reply. We did confirm all material came from the same lot/caliber. Of course, there could have been an issue at the factory during packing, where two different shades were packed and then labelled as the same. I really don't have any other explanation. We're still waiting to hear back from our factory rep. Appreciate the feedback. Thank you.

Most tile, especially planks have an orientation/direction arrow on the back. Also, a lot of the times with planks the print/pattern repeats. Because of that I like to open multiple boxes at a time to blend them together, that way I don’t get sections of floor tile set from the same box.
Shade looks off IMO.

Have this same issue with my 18x18 tile in my house. When you get a side light from windows certain tiles have a matte finish vs an eggshell type of sheen.

Tiles are 9 years old now so I won't be changing anything but i'm curious as to the why as well, tiles came from the same pallet.

Did have an issue with 'micro pores" on a porcelain tile once. It was the haze from the modified thinset that settled into those pores causing it to look terrible in the cross sunlight. You thought it was clean but it wasn't. Had someone come in with a steam rotary brush extraction system and a cleaner that took off the modified thinset latex that settled into the pores. We then took Dry Treat and coated the floor and buffed it out. Solved the issue. When ever I do a matte porcelain tile I always do a release coat of Dry Treat before I set the tiles and one more before grouting. Its a PITA but seems to work.

What kind of grout was used?
Was the floor acid washed?
