Cleaning and causes of water stains on granite?

I know these areas around my bathroom and kitchen sinks are caused by our water which is well water but we have a water softener, so why is it happening and is there a product I can use to clean it? Thank you!

It is most likely the salts from the softener and some other waterborne minerals manifesting themselves. You can scrape it off with a sharp razor blade without harming the granite. You have Verde Butterfly, and a mild vinegar solution on that particular stone will be fine too.

Once you have it cleaned up good, a weekly cleaning with a good spray cleaner like the 3-in-1 from GranQuartz will make future clean-up a little easier.

Thank you for your reply, going to work on it now. Is the vinegar solution 50/50 with water? And is the solution also safe on Uba Tuba granite?

You can use it full strength if needed, and the Uba Tuba will be fine also.but always test in an unseen area first.True granites aren't harmed by most household acids other than hydoflouric.
