Hi.
I've got my preslope done and my liner laid out and attached to the studs up high on the walls. I've cut out the bolts and the drain hole, but what sealant will work on cast iron?

I'm pretty sure silicone won't stick.

I also read that the sealant to the lower flange of the clamping drain was "optional".

Any ideas?

thanks.
Marty

I use Sikaflex or Bostik's Chem Caulk. Make sure the metal is clean and dry.

Silicone sticks to clean metal okay. I'm not real sure if the sticking power matters or not, all you are doing is forming a gasket. I think it's just as important to silicone the bottom flange as it is the top. :)
