I took a look around the forum and really couldnt find anything specific to what I am doing. I currently have mold resistant drywall around the toilet and the vanity. I want to tile about 4.5 feet up with 12x12 marble tile. My question is should I put primer on the greenboard first and second what should I use for the joints? mastic, thinset or joint compound? and what about tape over the joint?

Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum, Alex.:)

Leave the drywall bare where you intend to tile. Because your tiles are marble and large, I would not use mastic. Get a good, white, modified thinset instead. Your tiles are large enough that you don't really have to mud the joints before you tile. I would tape them with an alkali-resistant mesh tape as you tile though.
