I'm going with 1/8 grout on 13X13 tile in the shower. Seems I can use either sanded or unsanded grout. Is there an avantage to one over the other in a shower?

Unsanded is a little easier to work with on walls.Sanded while being a bit more difficult is a much harder product. With unsanded if you have any joints larger than 1/8" you may get some shrinkage and need to regrout. The consistency of your grout will determine how easy this becomes. You want it to be about like creamy Peanut butter so it sticks to your grout float.
Whichever route you go, timing is everything.Do a small area to get the feel of it.Allow a bit of setup time before washing.Change water and wash again. when you are through with all areas.wipe again with a damp sponge rinsing the sponge after each 2 passes 1 on 1 side of sponge 1 on other side of sponge. now wait an hour or so and buff with a terry cloth towel.
Have fun!!
