I'M IN THE PROCESS REPLACING THE TILE ON THE WALLS OF THE SHOWER. THE EXISTING TILE IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. QUESTION: CAN I INSTALL THE NEW TILE DIRECTLY OVER THE EXISTING TILE, WITHOUT ATTACHING A CEMENT BOARD PRODUCT FIRST?

The short answer is yes, it can be done.

Is this tile around a shower, tub, or just regular wall tile over sheetrock?

Tell us more...

Hi neighbor, :)

Steven,

Yes, you can tile over the shower tile, but in most cases it's not a good idea. Most times it's better to remove everything and start over. Give us a hint as to what's going on there. :)
