ok help me if you can ?
I,m donating my time to a church and installing approx 2,000 sf on new (approx 6 mo.) pour concrete. this slab (floor) is on the second floor. no sealers etc. have been applied. Should i use "Ditra" or will a modified thinset work? this is a "Commercial" constructed building but there will be movement, being it's a second floor. I am not trying to be "cheap" in my approach but, if i do the ditra I will be donating the material and my labor to the church.
Also, i'm transitioning to "VCT", If I use the Ditra, will a "Schluter" edge "reduce" enough to prevent a gap between the top of the VCT and the bottom of schluter reducer (make sense?)

Thanks for any thoughts.

6 month old concrete with no sealers, paint or anything else stuck to it? I would use a good antifracture thinset. Its a bit pricey, but will allow some movement of the concrete. Are there any cold joints or expansion joints? You will want to treat those areas differently. You should apply some type of anti fracture membrane to those areas.

The schluter edge should work fine for ya.
